Tate-Turner-Kuralt Building Parking:
The UNC School of Social Work is located in the Tate-Turner-Kuralt Building on the western edge of the campus. The building is located across the street from the State Employees Credit Union, and is between the FedEx Global Education Center and the School of Public Health.

Visitor Parking
There is one handicapped space beside the Tate-Turner-Kuralt Building. All other spaces require a permit to park.
- The Carolina Inn is located nearby and parking passes can be purchased inside for $30 a day.
The best option for visitors to UNC SSW is the Dogwood Deck. This is the large, tiered pay parking at UNC Hospital. It is just under a half-mile walk to the School of Social Work (Tate-Turner-Kuralt Building).
Walking directions to the School from the Dogwood Deck:
- Walk left up Manning Dr.
- Turn right onto S. Columbia Street.
- At the Health Sciences Library crosswalk (traffic light), cross S. Columbia Street.
- Turn right and follow first brick path on the left. The Tate-Turner-Kuralt building will be on the right.
- Allow about 15 minutes walking time.
Driving Directions to Dogwood Parking Deck
From the East:
Take I-40 West to Exit #273A. Take NC 54 West to Chapel Hill. Take US 15-501 South to Manning Drive. Turn right onto Manning Drive. The Dogwood Deck is nine-tenths of a mile from US 15-501 on the left.
From the North:
Take NC 86 South (which becomes Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd.) to downtown Chapel Hill. Turn right onto Cameron Avenue (2nd light after Franklin Street) then make an immediate left onto Pittsboro Street. Bear left when the road splits. Go straight across South Columbia Street and you will be on Manning Drive. The Dogwood Deck is three-tenths of a mile on the right.
From the South:
Take US 15-501 North to Chapel Hill. US 15-501 becomes South Columbia Street at the NC 54 intersection. From South Columbia Street, turn right onto Manning Drive. The Dogwood Deck is three-tenths of a mile on the right.
From the West:
Take NC 54 East to Chapel Hill. Exit at Columbia Street/US 15-501 and turn left onto South Columbia Street. From South Columbia Street, turn right onto Manning Drive. The Dogwood Deck is three-tenths of a mile on the right.
Public pay lots in the downtown area of Chapel Hill are a little further, but reasonable options if you are also spending time in Chapel Hill.

Europa Center Parking:
The Europa Center is located at 100 Europa Drive, just off US 15‑501 in Chapel Hill. The building sits within the Europa Office Park complex, near the intersection of Europa Drive and Legion Road. It is positioned across from the Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel and is adjacent to several professional offices and conference facilities.

Visitor Parking
There are several visitor spaces available within the Europa Office Park complex, including designated handicapped parking near the main entrances. All other spaces are reserved for tenants and require appropriate permits.
The best option for visitors to the Europa Center is the shared visitor lot at the entrance to Europa Drive, adjacent to the Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel. This lot offers short‑term parking and provides the most direct access to the building.
Walking directions to the Europa Center from the visitor lot:
- Walk along Europa Drive toward the office complex.
- Continue straight past the Sheraton entrance.
- Follow the sidewalk into the Europa Office Park.
- The Europa Center will be on the right, marked by its main lobby entrance.
- Allow about 5 minutes walking time.
Driving Directions to the Europa Center
From the east:
Take I‑40 West toward Chapel Hill. Use Exit 270 for US 15‑501 toward Chapel Hill. Keep right at the fork to merge onto US 15‑501 South. Continue for approximately one mile, then turn right onto Europa Drive. The Europa Center will be on your right
From the north:
Take NC 86 South into Chapel Hill. Continue straight as NC 86 becomes Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Turn left onto Estes Drive Extension and follow it for about two miles. Turn right onto US 15‑501 South. After half a mile, turn right onto Europa Drive. The Europa Center will be on your right.
From the south:
Take US 15‑501 North toward Chapel Hill. Continue past the I‑40 interchange. After approximately one mile, turn right onto Europa Drive. The Europa Center will be on your right.
From the west:
Take I‑40 East toward Raleigh. Use Exit 270 for US 15‑501 toward Chapel Hill. Turn right at the end of the ramp to merge onto US 15‑501 South. Continue for about one mile, then turn right onto Europa Drive. The Europa Center will be on your right.
Public Transportation
Park and Ride Lots
Another option for getting to the School is parking in one of the park and ride lots and taking a free Chapel Hill transit bus onto campus. There are five park and ride lots that are open to the public and don’t require a permit to park. For more information and to view bus schedules, see the Chapel Hill Transit Web site. The closest bus stops to the School are Pittsboro St./Credit Union and S. Columbia St./Health Sciences Library. The NS and CL routes stop right across from the TTK Building.
Airport: Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU).
Buses: Chapel Hill Transit – free city-wide service. The closest bus stops to the School are Pittsboro St./Credit Union and S. Columbia St./Health Sciences Library.
Triangle Transit Authority (TTA) provides regional bus service between Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill. Service is provided between Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and Chapel Hill. (919) 549-9999
