Information on Continuing Education:

CE’s will be awarded by UNC School of Social Work based on hours of training/workshop:

  • Contact Hours ASWBUNC SSW, #1406, is approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. UNC-SSW maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 8/10/2022 to 8/10/2025. Social workers completing this course receive 2-12 continuing education credits.
  • Contact Hours NBCC (provider #6642)- The UNC School of Social Work is an NBCC-Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEPTM) and offers NBCC-approved clock hours for events that meet NBCC requirements. The ACEP solely is responsible for all aspects of the program.
  • Category A –   The UNC School of Social Work is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The UNC School of Social Work maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
  • NCASPPB –  UNC School of Social Work’s Clinical Lecture and Institute programs have been approved by North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board (#23-598C). GSB, SS & EBT specialty hours based on sessions attended.

Target Audience:
These courses are designed for behavioral health clinicians including social workers, addictions counselors and other mental health professionals. The courses are developed for social workers and other mental health professionals at all the beginning and intermediate practice levels.

Attendance Policy: To receive CE’s, you must be present for the entire session, and you must sign the sign-in. No partial CE’s will be given. No CE’s will be given to participants who are more than 15 minutes late at the beginning of any session. No CE’s will be given to participants who leave before the close of a session.

Certificate of CompletionUpon completion of the training, all participants will be directed to the UNC SSW event site to complete an evaluation. Once you complete the evaluation, you will receive a personalized certificate (PDF format) that can be printed or saved.
